Local Authorities (LAs) usually consist of geographically dispersed sites across a town or region, where users have independent connections to each site and access to a range of applications (i.e. both local and in the cloud) that require a consistent quality of service in order to connect to resources, share data across the different sites and connect back to the main office buildings. As each of these sites requires substantial bandwidth, traditional SD-WAN simply cannot keep up with expanding cloud-based performance needs across an extended council infrastructure. Furthermore, LAs are currently facing challenges regarding the price and flexibility of traditional SD-WAN. Some of the specific SD-WAN issues that all LAs must contend with include:
Single-vendor SASE delivers converged network and security capabilities to connect and secure distributed users, devices and locations to resources in the cloud, edge and on-premises. Infrastructure and operations leaders should use this research to analyze the emerging single-vendor SASE market.

As organizations adopt hybrid work, they need to extend security to employees no matter where they may be located. The work-from-anywhere (WFA) model presents security risks, so it's critical for organizations to provide enterprise-level security everywhere they work, whether at home, in the office, or on the road.
In addition to the next-generation firewall (NGFW) in the office, these five key technologies keep employees productive and secure wherever they happen to be working. ...
Connectivity is now truly ubiquitous. All verticals, without exception, are converging on a future where productivity becomes universally data driven. The devices that will enable these intelligent and connected endpoints will be hugely diverse in their design but share many common features. This combination of uniformity and uniqueness is both an opportunity and a challenge for OEMs looking to leverage the massive IoT.
Learn how to move from proof-of-concept to as-a-service IoT deployment with IoTConnect on AWS. This whitepaper has the answ ...
Work patterns have changed forever and modern working, with people able to work from a variety of locations, is here to stay. Many of us have become used to working remotely and collaborating via video and instant messaging. We’ve remained productive, but perhaps at the cost of losing some of the natural, personal interactions that make working in a team so enjoyable. Occasional technical glitches can sometimes dampen the experience and the pressure to be always available can be overwhelming. ...
