Creating A Mobile Office – Easy!

teaserCreating A Mobile Office – Easy!

There are many tools at the modern business' disposal which can facilitate the opening and smooth operation of a 'mobile office'. And for good reason. Rising accommodation and staffing costs, along with the need to travel further for work, mean people are opting instead for the benefits of a fully fledged office and staff, but with only a shell of the facilities previously needed.

The Office Itself – A Good Start

There are now many companies out there catering specifically to mobile clients. Instead of a full time office, it's now possible to 'hot desk' for a fraction of the price and simply use a desk, bank of desks or meeting room whenever needed. No fixed phone or internet costs either. All anyone needs is a laptop and a mobile phone with a data connecction and tethering abilities, or failing that, a mobile data dongle, and an office is fully mobile with the same features as if it was grounded in an office block somewhere.

Infrastructure – All Mobile

Not counting the most obvious of mobile communications in email forwarding, there are companies out there providing virtual phone, fax and posting facilities. Need a letter sent out? Log in to their cloud platorm and it's sent within minutes. Need to step out? Simply hit the 'forward' button and all incoming calls will divert to any pre-determined number. Still dealing with customers that use faxes? No more reams of paper taking ten minutes to print; a JPEG will arrive within seconds, no matter where the recipient is, whether its at the office or on the move. As with all of these methods of communication, they can be expanded and tailored to suit any size of workforce, meaning that regardless of the number of employees and their location, one can have a united, yet fully mobile office team.

Of course, it's true that there are many free services out there. However, these are often ad supported (an embarassment if sending faxes or letters) and have limited or capped usage. But even spending a small amount of money to upgrade can remove all semblance of advertising, and will still save thousands compared to the costs of a static, fully functioning office.
