Why Customers Use Box with Office 365

Today, we expect the applications we use at work to be as easy to use as the apps we use in our personal lives. At the same time, your IT team is on the hook to support applications with enterprise-grade security and control, but ones that end users will actually adopt – or risk users turning to unsanctioned, consumer-grade tools. As a result, many organizations are now investing in an ecosystem of best-of-breed apps that meet the requirements of IT, business stakeholders, and end users.

Office 365 + Box is a great example of such an approach. Office 365 is Microsoft’s cloud productivity suite that can include hosted Exchange (email, calendar), Office, SharePoint Online, and Lync. Box, on the other hand, is a born-in-the-cloud content collaboration platform that’s built for the enterprise but loved by users. Box provides richer interactions with content and deeper admin controls than productivity suites like Office 365 can offer, where content is only a small piece of a larger offering.

This overview articulates the different ways that customers get value by deploying both solutions, and how Box can help to make the vital content in your organization more mobile, collaborative, and productive, both internally and externally.
