Organizations must now grow and pivot with previously unimagined agility. Enticed by the promises of the cloud, businesses of all sizes are racing toward digital transformation. A recent Prophet report says that market pressures are the leading drivers of digital transformation as most eforts are spurred by growth opportunities (51%) and increased competitive pressure (41%)1 . High-profile data breach scandals and new regulatory standards like GDPR are also providing impetus for organizations to transform (38%). This is supported by spend data. According to IDC, overall spending on cloud IT infrastructure will grow at a 10.9% CAGR, and by 2022 will surpass spending on non-cloud IT infrastructure.
